BBFC

1) Research the BBFC: what is the institution responsible for? How is it funded? What link does it have to government? The British Board of Film Classification BBFC, previously the British Board of Film Censors, is a non-governmental organisation, founded by the film industry in 1912 and responsible for the national classification and censorship of films exhibited at cinemas and video works. Therefore, the BBFC have the overall rights to rate and classify a film. Therefore they will calculate a fee that it will cost the directors when they are trying to get a certificate for the film,as it is an independent body it does not link to the government but does at the same time. As they have all the rights when callsifying a film and also when analysing if it is up to the governments expectations of being screened UK cinemas.

2) Read this BBFC guide to how films are rated. Summarise the process in 50 words.

Firstly, a film is rated whether it is on dvd on preparing to screened and all films must be make sure they have been approved by the bbfc before they can screen and release it to be viewed by the age appropriate audience. Therefore directors will send a full edited version of a piece of text which will then be approved by the organisations and will log all the improvements needed to be made and what needs to be censored. This includes
  • general context - plot, characters, outline of individual scenes
  • timings of key moments, including camera angles, type of shots, on- and off-screen moments
  • bad language, sex and drug references and so on.
Finally, if the a piece of texts contains any illegal or unacceptable behaviour the examiners will draw up a list of cuts that must be put into the work to fix the problems if the work to out reach it can be rejected altogether.
3) Read this BBFC outline of the issues faced when classifying a film. Summarise the debate in 50 words. This overall concerns the controversies that will come when a film is rated which includes the fact if it is the right certificate being given to the work.  for example, desensitising a potential viewer to the effects of violence and if the text is not in the reach of the intend certificate it will raise awareness to the audience and could affect their overall experience. Therefore BBFC must take into account

• Violence
• Sex
• Sexual Violence
• Drugs
• Horror
• Imitable Behaviour
• Discrimination
• Language
However the main over all appeal of a text is to be able to raech to widest possible audience when the text is at box office.

4) Read this BBFC section on controversial decisions. Why did The Dark Knight generate a large amount of media coverage regarding its certificate? Do you agree with the 12A certificate The Dark Knight was awarded?

5) What are the guidelines for a 15 certificate?

A 15 certificate is given to a film however firstly the film must not be breaking the following rules,  Discrimination, Drugs, Imitable behaviour, Language, Nudity, Sex, Threat and Violence. the work must take into account that they are allowed to use the following however, they must not over do it and glorify any or to keep it to a certain extent because to get a 15 they the work must not contain make all of this context discreet and to the 15 certificate. However if the information is out of subject they turn down the work or ask make the distributor edit the work only if and when the work has been seen by the BBFC.

6) The BBFC website offers an explanation of every classification it makes and detailed case studies on selected titles. Choose one 15-rated film from the BBFC case studies section and summarise the classification the film was given and why.

Deadpool: It rated 15 in the uk as it has the following  has been certified 15 in the UK, with no scenes cut from the film. The BBFC stated the Ryan Reynolds starring flick features "strong bloody violence, strong language and sex references.

Evaluation

Firstly what this task consisted of and what out intentions where to do and create a 30 seconded clip therefore we needed to use these key aspects of editing :

  • Match On Action
  • Shot/Reverse Shot
  • 180 Degree Rule
  • The planning processIn my opinion I think with the my group the lack of communication had a impact on the planing therefore the editing go to plan. However, the creation of planning did get completed, furthermore if the planning was not finished on time the task would have not been finished. Therefore this helped take action further when actually filming as well being more prepared of what to film and what to use.
In particular with this planning I think that there was still a lot of  room for improvement as not much was done properly and this had a problem on the
Planning had to consist of a: script, shot list, storyboard and ideas of mise en scene. As the planning was done last minute the shots had to decided on the shot, which meant we has to improvise with shots that we had to create on the scene.

    Strengths:

    1. The 180 degree rule was used correctly
    2. Managed to include some continuity editing
    3. Type of shots used (such as handheld shot) gave the video the action codes we wanted to achieve.
    Weaknesses:

    1. Some shots (such as dialogue scene) was out of frame.
    2. Background, non-diegetic audio was too loud thus making the dialogue scene inaudible.
    3. Lighting was off during some scenes (couldn't see characters).
    4. Editing was a tad bit too fast paced, causing it to be quite confusing and fast for the audience to understand what is going on.
    5. Subjects were too close to camera in the shot/reverse shots.
    6. Make more use of the DSLR - use more extravagant shots
    7. Planning was done last minute - a lot of improvisation
How I will improve for my actual film, i shall use a better sound quality to help understand the genre this will also allow the and also have better communication with my group peers to make sure that everything is being done correctly with in the group which will mean that the content will flow and make a better experience for the audience viewings and pleasures. Furthermore some of the shots where out frame which meant that we did not have good communication with the cameraman or just the fact we did not know how to zoom out with the lens, this in particular was because the fact that it did not have that feature thus it prevented the actors to be out of frame.

However, all in all we did mange to make a 30 second clip that had minor issue which was because the editing was done in such short amount of time, therefore if more time was give I presume we would have gotten rid of these technical issue. Also when editing we all managed to start making our clip which meant we was not technically working in group. This then lead us to think we should think about our future group working as this could mean a critique in groups when deciding for next exercise.

    Film Language test: Learner Response

WWW: You've picked out some important aspects such as eye-line match (or lack of them) and attempted to used media terminology through out. Plenty to build on here.

EBI: Written English is a massive problem. Pretty every apostrophe is wrong almost every use of terminology is spelt wrong. You must simply must write clearly and spell correctly when studying at A level.

    - In term of media analysis, you need a let more in depth in terms of what is being communicated to the audience.

-Editing is a weakness and needs revising there are no jump cuts.

How is editing used to create Drama and Tension in the opening scene ?
In this opening scene the editing helps build up a the tension by cutting the main shot of the killers face and this has a very big impact on the audience which is also a enigma code that built the suspensions. Therefore, we did not make much relationship between the killer as his face was not shown which did not only build suspense it also made it a mystery because being apart and not being aware of who the killer is the audience will feel left out and also unaware of who the killer is right from the start which makes it that one bit more dramatic when the action code occurs. Therefore because of the lack of eye-line match it makes the continuity of the editing of the opening scene more tensed.

Secondly, the slow paced editing is helps build up the tension also as the pace builds the intensity of the actual scene of the opening scene and the fact you don't see the man in the trench coats face means it make's that tension build up. In addition to this the pace of the editing of this opening scene as pace is one of the most powerful use of editing it helps the killer make the dominate character look more powerful as the camera angle is being placed low to the ground and looking up at him this helps with the slow paced editing which gives it that edge as this built up the tension also as it is very slow paced which helped with enigma codes.

Finally, the last scene of the whole ship blowing up with the drop of the cigarette on to the petrol which re-lit the fire as the fire begun again it help build that action code once the ships blows up and also increasing the devastation for the main character who is has been put out by the relentlessly unknown charter who face has still been kept out of shot, this all helped build up to the eruption of the ship which was slow which created tension for audience and gave them the indication that the character that has been given a more identification and a relationship with the audience has been perished and then followed by after with the split second of orange flames built the drama and emotive feelings.

    Editing task

Saturday night fever: This intro for this film is very iconic with the style of editing in the clip which expressed the views of the 70's and this is done from the editing of the film. Firstly, the editing is done with continuity editing which gives this a very good narrative to begin with its introduction a why i have chosen continuity editing is because they have logically placed the shots which made linked  each shot one after the other therefore we felt like as if we are following the life of the character in the film this is clearly noticed in the first shot with the shoes first we are greeted as the audience to the shoes in the store and immediately was followed to the main character showing his shoes off which is then linked with a medium close up of his shoes these jumps cuts help visualize his everything from the character within the world of the film. This is also a juxtaposition seeing the same thing at two contrasting positions.

Most of the segments of this clip because of are paced on the speed of the song and how to the speed of his walk therefore they show his shoes and feet a which are moving in beat to the song and this helps build a relationship with the character which is a key thing in the narrative of the film as this is a main character/star of the film meaning they will want him on screen most of the time and that is why we get a opening scene at his point of view so the audience will get a idea of the character. A example of this is we get a jump cut to his literal point of view of him approaching the women which gave the audience a very big impacting view for his whole life. And this was all lead up from the shoes as after the shoes he then went to the clothing shop and put the deposit down for the shirt and this gave a  build up to the main shot of why he does all this which is for women and to look presentable for them and that is all down to the continuity editing of the clips which gave it a much more bigger effect on the audience.

Even though sound dose not come into editing it helped with its diegetic sound when the jump cut show a low angle shot of the main character and with the diegetic sound of the shoes tapping it gave the shot the purpose for him to express and show off his essence and they have done this by using the continuity editing of the main charter and his shoes which is the main shot that the music begins with and this juxtaposition was followed with a eye-line shot of the characters face and eyes and thus my point of continuity editing which shows all the links he has a massive in how he dresses; shoes , the shirt and the women and these all go hand in hand with each each other. As they have a connection which gave lead the overall answer of him being a man who will spend alot of money for women to preserved him in a sexual manner.

Finally, we also get a shot of him eating food which is a very odd cut and that is because we dont really get a any shots of him making money until the end an that has the audience wondering what he does for a living to afford all these lavish items like the clothes and shoes. Therefore we receive as the audience the shot of him running with the paint can and holding the paint can as that is his main source of income in fact that is why he went out to get the paint in the first place. Therefore all these shots helped build the individuals ethos. Shockingly this only just the opening scene of the film wich means the edit has a very massive impact on the whole ingenuity of the film which mean editors msut take everything into consideration before actually editing and that is why content is so effective from the way it is morphed.

    Film Language: Cinematography

    Rambo First blood:
The film begins with and establishing shot near a bridge which shows more scecnery than the actaul actors which lets you get a picture of the shot. Furthermore, in the shot you can see that they are in a abounded position and this may be because the man in the car is trying to migrate to another position. This lets the audience see how the film is going to being and why the story has begun here in the fisrt place.
the Long shot showing him go back towards the bridge showing that he did'int listen to the cop who dropped him off as he walks back they way first came through. Furthermore, the long shot has made the character look much more smaller which could be because he is going to be less dominate in a later when he has another run in with the cops. Therefore this long shot scene give the effect that he is a vulnerable.

    Blog Feedback

WWW: Great to see some work – I assumed it would be a technical issue rather than a failure to complete the tasks! You’ve clearly engaged with the texts and have chosen some interesting films and images for the mise-en-scene task. The challenge now is to take this positive start and add the depth of analysis that will take you to the higher grades in Media.

EBI: Firstly, you are still missing a few bits of work (unless I’ve missed them): Film Noir research and the lighting images are not complete (some only have the questions under them). Obviously we’ve had blog issues but I’d like you to sort this out by Friday.
My main concern is actually your written English – it is the main thing currently that will hold you back from an A-C grade in Media. Your spelling is poor – “Creed: From the charters attire” suggests a lack of attention to detail or proofreading. Similarly, you don’t always use capital letters which is unacceptable at this level. A Level study demands a level of literacy that your blog isn’t currently demonstrating – it’s absolutely crucial that you address this urgently. One area that will certainly help in this regard is reading high-quality journalism regularly. If you regularly read extended news stories from a respected news organisation such as the Guardian then you will find the accuracy of your own writing will start to improve.

LR: Firstly, make sure you catch up with the missing work by the end of this week. Then, for your LR, reflect on your first month of Film Language. What is your strongest piece of work so far? What is your weakest? What specific skills or knowledge do you need to develop over the rest of the course?

    Film Noir

Image result for sin citySin City:
Film Noir is type of genre that has many different types of aspects that gives the film the genre "film noir" and this includes shadows , smoke (just like in the still image) this gives the film that entice felling of the shadows that it creates with in the lighting of the image. Furthermore in Film Noir they have female characters who manly wear some sort of red clothing or make up which is a color scheme to shes the attractive seductive women within the world of Film Noir these females in this specific genre mainly plays a part to morph a mans mind to ultimately make him fall for her. Finally, they are always dark and have some sort of detective who is solving a big scandal which mainly leads up to the female which seduces him to be put of track to solve the mystery because she has a part in the crime.

    Sound Task

Image result for clockwork orange cast

Clock work orange: From the Short clip it has the effect of being calm and cooling and has no problem just seems like a gang who are all together like brothers in arms. This is accompanied by a orchestral track in the background and the voice over of the middle man the voice over suggest that he has a . Even-though they are together they still have a barrier that can be noticed with the voice over because the dialogue spoken by the General could be a suggestion he sees discipline through pain . In addition to this i assume the speaker is the middle man who just goes obscene because the seemed parallel to song in the background. Therefore, when the middle man smacks the man on the left he makes the clip which is synced with the instrumental is just disturbing. This makes the song seem nothing like the clip it is known to be contrapuntal sound because the song that is accompanied with the clip this is assumed to be calm and made for people more upper class or people who have common sense as they are not of a worthy people. This makes the people watching feel like they uncomfortable this is because the sound does not play very well with the clip which is noticed of the seconded half of the scene. The first half of the clip was still parallel to the video this is only because they where preserved to be like upper class a group of adults who where going to go play polo but very mildly pointing that is because they are wearing clothes that do not look anything close to posh. That is because the mise-en-scene declares that they have been seen by the wrong prescription from my own prospective.

    Contrapuntal Sound

Dead-pool: In this we can see contrapuntal sound being used as it is not a good time to be using the music because the hero being dead pool has just been stabbed in the head. However, to go with the music they added in fuzzy characters which gives the clip the a humored look to it but the fact of the matter is that they are not in a happy position form the mise-en-scene because the heroin is being thrown around in addition to this the women charter swore at the hero which could be a suggestion that the two have fallen out.

    Lighting

Picture 1: From the smoke it straight away shows sings of Film nior which is why they are using less light but as they still want to give it that dark look by adding shadows to the image they would only use back lighting and that would be the only one being pointed at the key therefore this is a low key lighting because them objective being shown and emphasized on is the the smoke as it is more brighter than the actual actor as this stands out more it will be automatically be the one to look at.
Picture 2: Firstly, from the image it is certainly and obviously very dark this in image also in the image you can also see a filter light being pointed directly behind the character in this scene this filter light is giving it that effect of being so dark as you not see much because of the natural lighting that is put off as the only light is a filter one it shows it is using low key lighting. Further more you see how the filter light gives it that effect of making it so dim inside the room which makes it appear more dark and unusual.

Picture 3:This image is showing a contrast of Light and also shadow which is a suggestion of using both high and low key lighting however because they are fully visible it is low as they are using a filter to make a shadow on the female character which therefore means they have also used high key to make a contrast. However, because they are not in pit black darkness it more on the low key lighting because the back lighting is being directed from a downwards position to give it that lighting that is being seen off the man holding the gun.

    1. Identify examples of high and low-key lighting.From the image the lack of light shows that is a low key image as it is only using the back light and the natural light on where they picture was taken which makes it low key.
    2. Say which depict topback or under lighting. The back light is being lit from the top of the picture to give it that dark effect.
    3. What effects are created by the lighting in each image? In exchange to this ti gives the image the contrast of light and pitch black and it also helps make the model stand out in the picture.

    1. Identify examples of high and low-key lighting. Firstly, from the back ground it shows that they have taken this photo out side with natural lighting. Making it High key lighting.
    2. Say which depict topback or under lighting. As they have used natural lighting to take this image they are using the back lighting to make the lighting hit the model they use a mirror
    3. What effects are created by the lighting in each image? It makes the character look more strong and powerful like a king giving him respect by everything including light.

    1. Identify examples of high and low-key lighting.This is firstly a film nior you can see this from the rain drops and the darkness in the scene.
    2. Say which depict topback or under lighting. It is being directed from the top and is mainly the back lights.
    3. What effects are created by the lighting in each image?  in this photo it helps emphasis that when it rains it rains because the main effect helps bring out the rain in the image.
    1. Identify examples of high and low-key lighting. The image in firstly very bright and in the image the main object is being seen clearly.
    2. Say which depict topback or under lighting.the top lighting is being shown from the left side as it is where the majority of the light is coming from.
    3. What effects are created by the lighting in each image? It help develop the shadow that is being seen behind the character.

    1. Identify examples of high and low-key lighting. From the image you detect alot of darkness making it a low key image.
    2. Say which depict topback or under lighting. the majorty of the lighting is coming form the back and is coming through the window.
    3. What effects are created by the lighting in each image? it gives the image a natural look to it making it look like the sun is just rising from the outside.
    1. Identify examples of high and low-key lighting.This image uses a lot of contrasting lighting which makes it a low key image because the images are not clear and also the image is showing dark and light and you can tell the difference.
    2. Say which depict topback or under lighting.the main lighting is coming from behind the the 4 men who are walking away from the light.
    3. What effects are created by the lighting in each image?it help show that they are not alone they have other people who are in the image which gives it that effect that they are about to confront someone.
    1. Identify examples of high and low-key lighting.in the image you can see the shadows and darkness but has a large spec of light which makes it have high key and low but in this case this image has is clear and is easily seen which makes it low key.
    2. Say which depict topback or under lighting. the lightning is coming from underneath the character with a filter light giving it that shadow and pale look.
    3. What effects are created by the lighting in each image? in this picture it helps see that the person is shocked by something in front of her.

    1. Identify examples of high and low-key lighting.The fact that you can not see any dark spots or shadows show that this picture is a high key photo.
    2. Say which depict topback or under lighting. even though the shadows have been cleared away theay have been hidden from sight to help making be seen clear they have done this by putting the lights directly above the key.
    3. What effects are created by the lighting in each image?  This gives it that effect of being a simple image and a calm image that will not give any judgmental thoughts.

    Mise-en-scene blog task

Image result for muhammad ali still image

Muhammad Ali versus Cassius Clay: Firstly this is a image taken at a early stage of camera work as seen from the way the picture is taken it is in black and white. From the way the the fighters are placed it is very noticeable that Muhammad Ali has the grater advantage. Ali was well known for his fast reaction times in the ring. The facial expression on Ali's face signify's that he is not fond of being punched. From the photo it is clear that they are in a match of boxing this can be analysed by the clothing and also the gloves worn by both opponents. At a small glimpse you may notice the lime light is being pointed on Muhammad Ali's which could be a suggestion of popularity or could also be a code to imprint that "he is a the best ever"

We Kill The Old way: From the trailer of this film i can first of all can that it has violence this because of the title contains the word kill which could be suggestion for violence through the whole film. Furthermore from the props used in the in the trailer could be a suggestion of gang violence but in addition to this from the title of the of film it could be a suggestion of new vs old. My meaning of new vs old meaning of old gangs versus new gangs this be seen by the costumes worn by new ear gang member's contrasting to the the older ones as the older generation wear tailored suits to not look harmful to the society as they do not mean any harm to the norm as they only harm the ones that harm them or their family and therefore in this instance they have a problem with a gang who harmed ones brother. Also form the taglines in the film trailer the splash of red could be a suggestion of British-Film-Noir this can also be notified by the lighting of the poster that it begins with its consists with lots of darkness which could signify Film Nior.

8 Mile: A brutal scene form the film with the famous rapper no other than Eminem. Firstly from the actors clothing they do not have much money because of what they are wearing for example the sibling in the baby-blue jacket does fit her properly this could be suggesting that her clothes are donated. In the Scene there is not much lighting provided majority of the light is being provided is the gangs truck an larger amount is being provided by the darkness which means that it uses natural lighting. The actors in the first 10 seconds show that they are isolated to others and their own parents to look after them or to guide them on their ventures. As the big black arrived  into the yard it could be a suggestion of entering the mans territory but because they are more dominant in the situation they pay no attention to this as it has no meaning to them because they are big when they are together. However form the lonesome mans facial expression it is obvious he is terrified. The man with the nose bleed could be a suggestion of why they are in the yard in the first place and the make up used to make him apper to have a nose bleed could have been because the victims actions. As for the settings it shows that they are in poverty and dont have a stable roof over their head for the brother and sister who are alone. In addition to this we also see the victum give the little one instructions even-without sound it is seen as he knelt down to her level.

Creed: From the charters attire the genre of the film is for sports but with a narrative to it this is because it is boxing dedicated film. As for the the lighting of the two characters differ for the black man its shows a dark but dimmed in the ring which could signify his hope for the fight but also his life in general as he could have had a hard life before he came into the light but for the well known fighter he has bright lights a well light area to train because he is all about the publicity. From the actors we can see that the mentor for the colored boxer which makes him more motivated to be better at his boxing match. as it is only hope for to become a champion. The sweat pouring of the main character is sings that he want to be the champion of the title therefore he fights harder therefore the make-up used in the scene was to make him sweat. Furthermore we can see that they use props such as boxing gloves to make the audience understand he is a boxer and he is fights for the title in addition to this the settings show all off the things that would signify boxing such as the settings of the gym contained boxing bags a boxing ring and also skipping and these are all props used in the setting of the gym to make it more appealing to the audience

    Film posters

Image result for blade runner poster

    1. Blade Runner:What is the film about and what might the storyline  be about?

The film blade runner a sci-fi. From the poster this is quite obvious this is exhibited from firstly the the tag line which could suggested man made objects taking over humanity for example robots or outside invaders . It is also given this assumption from the futuristic flying object which is not in our present day of the viewers of this film. Furthermore, the male character is facing away in the central image this shows he is the leader and makes decisions

      3) The target audience is subjected to a male dominate audience; this is noticed because the males character is more enlarged than the female. In summery this film is designed for late teens around 15-40 this is because the film was produced the time special effects was introduced to films.
      2) Secondly, the film genre is film nior for Blade Runner is seen in the poster. in this instance it is described by the female being smaller than the male and is also smoking which is always noticed in the genre which is a suggestion of femme fatal.

      1) This has a story line to cover horror films that have alredy been produced but a spoof of the actual film which is a suggestion of humor but the film also contains horror.

2)Scary Movie: The genre is a collaboration between horror and humor this is a spoof of horror films this can from the font of the poster this font type is seen in scream a horror movie around the time this film was produced which gives it that view. furthermore the tag line shows signs of comedy as it says "absolutely hilarious".

      3) Even though this film is horror it contains comedy which can make this film subjected to students who enjoy horror an keep on top of latest released horror films which will make this film a target to the producers of this film. in summery scary movie can be a ranged audience from 15-35 however can be ranged further to film fans who may be older than the target audience,

      1) Uzak: Firstly the image shows snow which could be there to show that the character in the poster is a criminal who is cold-hearted. Also from the central image it seems to be a foreign made film as i have never heard of it before. Even though i have never seen this film before think to a certain suggest that the person on screen is a run away criminal. After some research my claims where wron the word Uzak means distant this can be seen with his posture also he has his face away from the camera this could signify insecurity to others.

      2) In my opinion with no research i would have assumed it was an action based film however after my research it is a love romance film which is seen from the taglines of people who have seen the film "a real masterpiece". This could be because it is different from other love romance films.

      3) This film is mainly targeted to a female based category as it is based on romance this age can range from 15-30 being the majority of the audience the percentage of the audience being male is 85% female and 15% male.

1)From the film poster I imagine that this young boy is on holiday and is bored in this free time he he digs a hole and the next day this hole becomes a bottomless pit which suggest the title Im Not Scared also from the font of this title you can see blood splatter which connotes violence an gore.

2)Leading to my seconded point this font title suggests that he is apart of horror film this title could be the suggestion my assumption of horror from the facial expression of the boy looks like it is fear that is because he is astonished to his findings.

      3) The main target audience is produced for  horror fanatics this can range from a young audience from young teens at 15 to 45 i say up to 45 a this film seem to be around the time film producers began using CGI and special effects began coming into films more.

Sin City:1) From the tittle its synergy with story-line could suggest a city that has a lot of murder and glorify's killings and murders this can seen from the poster as it shows a low angle of a man holding a gun.

2)This genre of this film from its poster is suggestion of film-noir this can be coded by the long trench coats and old revolvers this is seen frequently in film noir furthermore on this point the color is black and white which is a main part in detectives and film noir. Therefore the splash of red could be a indication to danger but also can be related to  femme fatale as always for example are wearing red.

      3) The main target audience for "sin city" is late teens ranging from 18-49 in my opinion the film seems be targeted at a mature audience so that they can understand the meaning behind the polt of the film such as the plot.

1)Pirates Of The Caribbean: Is a story based on pirates this is quite obvious from the style of the film poster this film in the sequel has a suggestion of someone being dead from "dead mans chest" which could be a term for a coffin also the the skull can be see in synergy with the charter holding the the gun to his head he has the same red head band which could be a conferring to him being the one dead.

      2) This film poster consists of romance as it contains a female close to the male character this could be a suggestion to action thriller/romance their could also be a divide between the hero and heroin.

      3) Pirates of the Caribbean looks to a film produced to younger audience. Therefore, my prediction for the film is that is subjected for 12 and up i think this as the film poster suggest its a film that contains violence. This film is certificated 12 therefore the target audience 12 and up to 30 because some dedicated film fans enjoy non-fiction/fiction story's.

1)Bride&Prejudice: from the title of this film i think it is to do with love and romance which my denotation of the film poster furthermore i think that the films story-line is about two Asian family's who do not allow their kids to see each other as they are not living up to the parents expectations.

2)Firstly its tagline reveals its genre by the slightest as it says romantic therefore its contains romance however to be more specific form the ethnicity of the characters its shows that it will contain drama and also domestics.

      3) The majority of the audience is centered at the female audience as it romance this film is based love story which creates a feminism vibe to the poster to which the attracts the audience its poster.

1)Million Dollar Baby : Firstly from the title i think that the film is based on this women being a "million dollar baby" this may be because the young women is athletic from the her defention of the back she could be a athlete and does athletics for example she could be a
      competing in 100m sprint.

      2) from the color scheme of the film poster the genre could be based on drama and action this can be seen because splash of red on the actors name which could be a big part in what role the play. The lighting of the poster in shined upon the young lady this could be a suggestion that she is the chosen one .

      3) In conclusion i think the subjected target audience is meant to 50/50 for a mature audience in fact i say 50/50 because the main character is female this could signify female dominance in the film
